Natural Hair Care Routine

It’s time for another natural product post! Today I’m talking about some of my favorite hair care products. I’ve been using the SheaMoisture brand for a few years now, and their products never disappoint! The message behind the brand is beautiful. They are dedicated to giving back to the community and providing healthy products for people looking to live a more organic life. I’m only sharing a few items today, but you should give any of their collections a try.

10 in 1 Renewal System w/ Marula Oil & Biotin

I have both the shampoo and conditioner for this line. I absolutely love them!!! My hair is healthy, but it’s naturally coarse and a little on the dry side. The shampoo cleans my scalp very well while helping my hair to retain some of it’s moisture. The conditioner softens my hair, makes it easy to detangle, and leaves it with a nice shine.

Here are the official product claims. You can use this as a guide to decide if the Superfruit Complex collection is right for you.

“10-in-1 Renewal System: This antioxidant-rich collection helps to perfect and renew vibrancy to dull, lackluster hair. Provides Sulfate-free cleansing, anti-aging benefits, color protection, hydration, nourishment, rejuvenation, anti-stress, manageability and softness without build up.”

Curl Enhancing Smoothie w/ Silk Protein & Neem Oil

This product is old faithful. For about two years, it was the only styling product/leave-in conditioner I used. It makes my fro SO soft and bouncy…especially on a blow out! I also use it for regular twist outs, refreshing my puff, and as a moisturizer before protective styling. It smells heavenly, and works very well on my hair.

Here are the official product claims. You can use this as a guide to decide if the Coconut & Hibiscus Curl Enhancing Smoothie is right for you.

“Reduces frizz, smoothes and adds curl definition to thick, curly hair. Helps restore moisture, body and shine for healthy, bouncy curls. Coconut Oil – Hydrates and protects hair while reducing breakage. Silk Protein – Smoothes hair for a soft silky feel. Neem Oil – Controls frizz while adding brilliant shine.”

Strengthen, Grow & Restore Leave-In Conditioner w/ Shea Butter, Peppermint, & Keratin

After using the Curl Enhancing Smoothie for so long, I finally decided to try something new. You should know that I don’t do this often. When my hair responds positively to a routine, I typically stick with it. Finding good products can be a pain. BUT, I’m so happy I went out on a limb with this one! I use this product the same way as the Smoothie. It has a thinner consistency which I like when I want something very light, but it still manages to give my hair a very soft feel and make detangling a breeze.

Here are the official product claims. You can use this as a guide to decide if the JBCO Leave-In is right for you.

“Strengthen, Grow & Repair fortifies and renews, while supporting healthy growth for all hair types, including chemically treated, heat styled, natural and transitioning. Restores dry, brittle, damaged hair with a special blend of nourishing, natural, certified organic and ethically sourced ingredients.”

I hope this is helpful! I have seen a big improvement in the health of my hair by using more natural products. It makes the entire process a little easier from wash day to protective styling. Comment below and let me know what your favorite products are! I’ll probably try something new in the near future.

      1. I have the super fruit complex (for cellulite supposedly and it smells amazing) and then I have the black soap version of lotion. I have eczema so it is great as a light moisturizer in between heavier ones.
