Beat The Bloat Smoothie

Most of us have experienced bloating at some point. Bloating can be caused by eating too fast, constipation, foods that may cause gas (legumes, grains, dairy), and fluid retention from excess sodium. Today’s smoothie recipe will help with bloating in two ways.

  1. The ingredients are high in potassium which will help flush the excess sodium out of your system.
  2. The fiber content can help with constipation that may be causing bloating.

1/2 cup pineapple
1/2 cup papaya
1 frozen banana
1/4 cucumber (with skin)
1 cup chilled coconut water
2 cups spinach
4 ice cubes


Blend, blend, blend!


Have this smoothie in the morning to get your day started off with a flat tummy. One serving is about 245 calories with 4 grams of protein. Add a scoop of your favorite protein powder to stay full longer!

  1. Perfect! I’m definitely going to try this! I never knew potassium helped with bloat. I drank coconut water yesterday and read that it has more potassium than bananas! Nice post!
