Immunity Tonic

Are you struggling with congestion, headaches, general illness? Many people in my hood are, but I’ve managed to dodge it all for now. I’ve been drinking my Immunity Tonic weekly, and I really think it’s helped tremendously! Now, I’m no doctor (obviously), so if you’re sick…consult your physician. I’m simply using this tonic as a form of preventative medicine. You guys know I’m here for the natural remedies Mother Nature provides, so give it a try & see if it works for you this season!

INGREDIENTS

OPTION 1: SPICY

1/2 lemon juiced

1/2 lime juiced

1 tbs ACV with the Mother

1/2 tsp cayenne pepper

1 L/32 oz water (use more to dilute further)

OPTION 2: SWEET

1 lemon juiced

1-2 tbs ACV with the Mother

1 tbs raw, unfiltered honey (try coconut nectar as a vegan sub)

1 L/32 oz water

These ingredients contain a plethora of nutrients and they are alkalizing agents. The idea is to provide your body with everything it needs to fight off pathogens when they attack so you never actually experience the symptoms of illness. Of course there are other things you can do along with drinking the tonic:

  1. stay hydrated (64+ oz per day)
  2. exercise to help your body detoxify itself
  3. sleep (7+ hrs per night) for improved immune function and recovery
  4. eat a diet rich in vitamins/minerals (lots of colorful veggies & fruits)
  5. manage your stress levels as being excessively stressed makes you more susceptible to illnesses

I hope you guys enjoy these recipes! I drink my tonic first thing in the morning. It really helps me get my day started off with a kick.
