Lately my meals have been THE SAME every week. Nothing new. Nothing exciting. Just fuel. This morning I was rushing to get ready for my workout and didn’t have time to cook, so I opted for a protein smoothie! It definitely served its purpose and got me through a TOUGH chest and triceps workout. Check out the recipe below!
1 1/2 cups strawberries, frozen
1 ripe banana, frozen
3 cups spinach
1 1/2 tsp spirulina
1/2 – 1 scoop protein powder
1 – 2 cups almond milk
- Blend greens, spirulina and almond milk (or liquid of choice).
- Add in frozen fruit and protein powder.
- Drink up!
This smoothie is about 460 calories with 72g of carbs, 8g of fat, 37g of protein & vitamins/minerals for days. It’s a great way to fuel your workout or recovery after!
