Ok guys, I’m on a roll with the soups this season. Next up is a classic miso recipe I found on Minimalist Baker.
4 cups water
1/2 cup chopped green onions
1/4 cup firm tofu *optional
3-4 tbs white miso paste
1 sheet nori (cut into small rectangular pieces)
- Pour water into medium sized pot, bring to a low simmer.
- Add nori and allow to simmer for 5-7 minutes.
- While nori simmers, mix miso paste with hot water to smooth it out and avoid clumping. Add miso paste to soup pot.
- Add remaining ingredients to pot and cook for about 5 minutes. Add salt if needed.
This was so delicious I ate it before remembering to snap a picture! It was the perfect appetizer for my sushi
