Meals & Mantras: Getting My Health On Track

Hey y’all!

When I got hurt and was pretty much confined to my bed… I decided I would eat/drink whatever I wanted to. It was the only thing I really felt like I had control of.

As you may imagine, it wasn’t long before any healthy habits I’d developed in the past 23 years were overshadowed by sour gummies and potato chips. Hahaha

I’m not ashamed. I did what I wanted (and felt like I needed) at the time… but I’m ready to get back on track.

Before I get into any details, I want to be clear about my goal: HEALTH. I’m not trying to lose a specific amount of weight or follow a diet with a cool name. I just want my health… my glow back.

I’ve been feeling lethargic, my skin is going insane, and my motivation (until recently) was flat lining. So yeah. I’m past due for a little change in my life.


To get started, my short term goals for July are simple:

  • meal prep weekly (M-F) using whole foods
  • drink 3L of water per day
  • stretch & meditate daily

That’s it! I just want to feel better. I’m not pressuring myself to change my entire life in 30 days. I’m not working towards eating a perfect diet. And I’m not expecting to become a meditation guru overnight. I just want to make simple, healthy choices and get to a place of internal vibrancy again.

I won’t bore you with my meals and mantras everyday, but you can expect some weekly updates on my journey.
